DAY 1. Arrival in Tirana, we may do a short walking city tour before or after check in at the hotel. In the evening, after having dinner at a traditional restaurant we will explore the nightlife of Tirana, walking in the ex-block area known as “the Block” where the villas of the communist’s leaders are still standing next to trendy boutiques, expensive jewelry shops and active local pubs. DAY 2. After breakfast start the visit of the new opened Atomic bunker, the Bunk’art2 museum in Tirana opened to the public describing it as a museum throwing light on political persecution during the Albanian communist era. DAY 3. After breakfast, proceed to Kotor. Visit of Kotor, Medieval town on Adriatic coast, which is also surrounded by stonewalls. Kotor is also one of the largest bays on Adriatic, which attracts many large cruise ships. Lunch in the Kotor Old Town (Seafood), proceed to Lepetane for using the Ferry to the other side. Proceed to Dubrovnik. Arrival, check in hotel. Dinner and Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 4. Breakfast at hotel, city tour of this UNESCO protected pearl of the Adriatic and its Cathedral, Rector’s Palace, Franciscan Monastery (included Old Pharmacy), Clock Tower, Orlando’s Columns, Sponze Plaza, Dubrovnik City. Lunch in the old City (Seafood). Free time (optional) Boat ride or/and Cable car for panoramic view, Dinner and Overnight at hotel in Dubrovnik.
DAY 5. After Breakfast, Check out hotel. Transfer to Mostar, on the way proceed to visit Pocitelj, Medieval Stone made town. Depart to Blagaj, visit of the oldest Tekki in Bosnia from XVcentury, Lunch in restaurant on Buna River springs, Proceed to Mostar, city tour – Mostar Old Town visit Mehmet Koski Pasha Mosque, The famous Old bridge, listed as UNESCO heritage site. Free time. Continue drive to Sarajevo via Neretva Canyon and Jablaničko Lake, Shortstop in Jablanica Town to take pictures of the destroyed bridge from World War 2. Aarrive Sarajevo, check-in the hotel, Dinner and Overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY 6. After Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for tour to visit Vrelo Bosne – springs of river Bosna, Tunnel museum – which helped the Bosnian citizens survive the siege of Sarajevo. Walking tour of Old Town Bascarsija, Latin bridge, place where the Austro Hungarian Archduke was assassinated, what triggered the 1st World War; Brusa bezistan – covered market place; Gazi Husref Bey Mosque- built in 1530 year during the Ottoman era – and Gazi Husref Bey Madrass; Morica han built in 1551, Tašlihan- remaining’s of the largest Karavansaray in Sarajevo. Vijecnica – town hall for the Austro- Hungarian era. Lunch at the local restaurant. Free time for shopping. Back to hotel, Dinner and Overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY 7. After Breagfast transfer to Zadar. Hear the sounds of the sea? The Sea Organ is a quirky art installation that sits amongst the Zadar’s eclectic mix of Roman ruins and public art, which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. DAY 8. Get ready for the blissful waterfalls at the Plitvice Lakes National Park, but not before a stop in the small village of Nadin. Considered the ecological wine district in Croatia, (as most of the grapes on its territory, is harvested organically) this place is a little slice of vino heaven. Day 9. Mother Nature brings joy today to you. Made up of 16 lakes connected by streams and waterfalls and surrounded by 300 square kilometers of national park, Plitvice Lakes did not make it onto the UNESCO World Heritage list without reason. Hike up to see the tallest waterfall in Croatia or glide across the crystal blue lakes in a rowboat. Mindfulness just got a completely new meaning. Day 10. Shoot one last longing look at the Lake before arriving in Ljubljana (lyoob-lya-nah) – capital of Slovenia. Tonight, hit up military-barracks-turned-bar-and-gallery-strip, Metelkova Mesto for a tea or vino with a side of live music and underground art installations. Ljubljana city tour.
